Thats the smell of brand new hardware. As a nice little birthday gift I got the Logitech Cordless Desktop S530 Laser for Mac. I must say, VEEERY nice.
Now, for the last 5-6 years and the last 4 keyboards I had were ALL Microsoft keyboards. Not just any Microsoft, but I have fallen in love with the “Natural” Keyboard series they have going. With the latest revision in their natural series they did a small redesign and renamed it to the “Ergonomic” series. The last keyboard I had was the Microsoft Comfort Wireless Desktop which overall, was very nice. But it was not as flat as I wanted and for sure felt there was another solution in which I could type faster and with less energy, you know, important things when you work on computers allll dayyy loonng.
As my main computer is my 12” powerbook, lately I’ve been typing alot on it instead of having it hooked up desktop style. Let me tell you, there is NOTHING faster than typing on a powerbook. I am completely in love with the built in keyboards on them. So I needed to replicate this in my desktop configuration. Lucky for me Logitech just released this beauty, I saw it on http://www.uncrate.com/ and had to have it.
Impressions
First impressions are that it is very slick and THIN. It compliments the mac style very nicely and looks like it came from Apple themselves. The feel of the keys are very “spring/scissor” like, close to the powerbook itself but not quite as flat. The thing really is made for mac, you can configure the thing in a million ways and it has just as many buttons on the sides...
